When you live in a small town...

When you live in a small town,
you pass the funeral home on the way to the grocery store.

When you live in a small town,
you end up in line behind the guy who buried your child, at the gas station.

When you live in a small town,
you notice the freshly dug earth at the baby cemetery.
You wonder who the parents are,
but it's not long before you find each other and become friends.

When you live in a small town,
you pass the playground dedicated to your angel, every day to and from work.

When you live in a small town,
you are surrounded by memories.
Good, bad, happy, sad...
but that does not make it an awful place to live.

It makes it a place where your angel left his mark. Those memories will always be there, reminding you of the good, the bad, the happy and the sad.
And that's okay.
